(JACQUES LACARRIÈRE : “Greece through his lens”)
Jacques Lacarrière (1925-2005), author and traveller, was one of the most painstaking observers of Greece. From 1947 to 1966 he visited Greece many times, drawing inspiration for many books and travel narratives. In his various peregrinations around the country he was always accompanied by his Leica camera, and he took many shots of unusual sensitivity.
The exhibition is one of the events organised by the French Presidency of the European Union and constitutes part of the Athens Photo Festival.
