Description
This publication will photographs and postcards from the “Konstantine Tripos Neohellenic Collection”. This wealth of material was gathered in the Interwar Years and during the German Occupation by Konstantinos Tripos (1880-1977), inspector for the National Bank of Greece. His knowledge of the Greek capital’s history and his interest in its evolution are obvious, not only from the photographic evidence he gathered, but also from the accurate comments that frequently provides new information on buildings or places, oftentimes outside the main urban planning web. The commentary on the chapters was provided by Maro Kardamitsi-Adami, Head of the Neohellenic Architecture Archives, and the book was edited by Fanny Konstantinou along with Aliki Tsirgialou and Chryssa Depolla.
